The newly appointed provost of Aliko Dangote College of Nursing Sciences, Bauchi, Bappah Baba Waziri, has pledged to work with the state government and relevant stakeholders to transform the institution into a centre of excellence in nursing and midwifery education. In an interview with newsmen at the college, Waziri said his administration would prioritize academic excellence, staff development, practical training, modern learning facilities, and improved infrastructure. He said the initiatives aim to raise the standard of nursing education in Bauchi State and ensure the institution produces highly skilled, competent, and disciplined nurses and midwives capable of meeting the healthcare needs of the state and beyond. The provost stressed that quality healthcare delivery depends largely on the quality of professionals produced by training institutions, noting that effective nursing education remains critical to strengthening healthcare systems.
