A new industry-supported education initiative at Government Secondary School, Kuje, in the Federal Capital Territory, aims to address the lack of laboratories and equipment in many public schools by providing students with regular access to functional science facilities. The five-laboratory complex was developed by TotalEnergies Upstream Nigeria Limited, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, and their co-venturers, in partnership with CNOOC, SAPETRO, and Meren. The facility is part of an education support programme designed to help students move beyond textbook-based instruction and strengthen practical learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The project is intended to expand opportunities for students in Kuje and neighbouring communities.
