Buhari As Solution To Obi’s Botched Visit

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Party (NDP), attempted to visit the Yelwata community in Benue State to offer condolences and humanitarian support to Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp. The visit was disrupted by irate youths allegedly mobilised by the Benue State government, preventing Obi from reaching the camp. Yelwata, located in Guma Local Government Area along the Makurdi-Gboko Road, is mourning the loss of nearly 200 lives to armed herders' attacks last year. This incident follows a similar attempt last year when Obi, then the Labour Party's presidential candidate, was also barred from visiting the community.
