Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for the prompt arrest of three suspects linked to the attack on Ayilamo community in Logo Local Government Area. The attack, which occurred on September 10, 2026, resulted in the deaths of four policemen and seven other persons, with several others injured and many unaccounted for. The Benue State Police Command confirmed that security operatives repelled the attack after a fierce gun battle lasting about seven hours. Governor Alia praised the DSS for its professional operation.
