Police in Osun State have arrested a 49-year-old man named Benjamin in connection with an alleged fraud involving a purported farmers' empowerment programme that promised beneficiaries up to ₦3 million each. The scheme, which claimed to have a ₦22.3 million grant, also involved the sale of unregistered herbal products, prompting the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to take over the case. The suspect has denied defrauding anyone.
