Most of the aluminium rails on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos have been stolen and sold as scraps. Scavengers, who have been outlawed but still operate, are accused of theft and vandalism, causing sleepless nights for residents. The state government has reiterated that scavengers remain outlawed.
