Fidelity Bank Plc has extended its Corporate Social Responsibility gesture to no fewer than 300 vulnerable women from its Akwa Ibom host communities to cushion the effects of prevailing socio-economic hardship. In partnership with the Golden Initiative for All, the pet project of the late former First Lady of the State, Patience Umo Eno, beneficiaries from the 31 local government areas were empowered with cash grants and business tools to strengthen their enterprises and improve their livelihoods. The scheme is part of GIFA's continuing interventions aimed at promoting women's economic independence and supporting small businesses across the state. Lady Helen Eno Obareki, Coordinator of the office of the First Lady and Chairman of GIFA's Board of Trustees, noted that with the successful hosting of the programme, the number of people impacted by the initiative has increased.
