The Nigerian Army has challenged senior officers to become agents of positive institutional change and translate their acquired knowledge into measurable improvements in planning, decision-making, and operational effectiveness. Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu gave the charge at the graduation ceremony of the Leadership and Strategic Studies Course 4/2025, held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja. In a statement by army spokesperson Col. Appolonia Anele, the army chief reaffirmed the service's commitment to developing intellectually grounded and strategically minded officers capable of confronting Nigeria's evolving security challenges. He congratulated the graduands on completing 11 months of rigorous intellectual and professional development and urged them to regard their graduation as a call to greater responsibility and purposeful leadership.
