Residents of Babanla community in Ifelodun local government area of Kwara State have started returning to the community after they were forced to desert their ancestral homes by bandits. Following the gradual return of the residents, the community's development association, stakeholders, and the National Transition Implementation Committee met to review various critical issues on peace, security, and general development in Babanla over the last one year. After the meeting, a communiqué was issued in which they expressed satisfaction with the general return of peace and security to the community. The communiqué, signed by Mal. Lookman Yusuf, commended the Oba-in-council and various organisations for their resilience during the turbulent period, and the people expressed delight that many of those who left at the peak of the crisis have returned.
