The Cross River State government has cancelled a local government recruitment exercise described as flawed. The decision followed the submission and consideration of the report of a panel of enquiry set up to investigate the recruitment exercise conducted by the defunct Local Government Commission. The government has approved a fresh recruitment of 4,000 workers.
