President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended wishes to the Jewish community in South Africa and around the world for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. He described Rosh Hashanah as a time for renewal and reflection and paid tribute to the South African Jewish community as part of the national fabric. The President wished observers a sweet year and a meaningful Yom Kippur fast.
