The Force warned members of the public, particularly applicants in the ongoing recruitment exercise, to disregard the document and rely only on verified police communication channels. The fake statement, titled 'IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu Directs Commencement of Training for 50,000 Newly Recruited Police Constables,' bears the name and designation of the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu. The police said the document did not originate from the Nigeria Police Force and was neither issued nor authorised by the Force, urging candidates to avoid acting on information from unauthorised platforms.
