2027: ‘Campaign of lies’ against PRP candidate must stop — Party

The People's Redemption Party (PRP) has warned that a 'campaign of lies' against its Bauchi State governorship candidate, Shehu Buba, must stop, accusing political opponents of spreading false allegations linking the candidate with banditry and kidnapping. In a statement by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Muhammed Ishaq, the PRP said it had initially kept quiet to establish the facts but could no longer remain silent after becoming convinced that the claims were part of a deliberate effort to damage the candidate's reputation and undermine his chances in the 2027 governorship election. The party said those making the allegations should desist.
