The Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, stated that the emirate encompasses 11 local government areas and numerous traditional institutions. He explained that the salaries and allowances of these institutions are primarily funded through monthly contributions from the local councils. Bamalli noted that the Kaduna State Government's system of deducting these contributions at source and paying them directly into the emirate's accounts has brought greater financial stability. This arrangement has removed the need for traditional institutions to lobby local government chairmen for funds.
