President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana has warned boards and Chief Executive Officers of State-Owned Enterprises against breaching administrative guidelines, conflicts of interest, and abuse of office. Speaking at the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) conference in Accra, he urged leaders to enforce zero tolerance for unlawful asset disposal, opaque procurement, and corrupt practices. Mahama reminded public officials that appointments are public trusts based on competence, integrity, and performance, and cautioned against using public office for personal benefit.
