The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has rejected allegations linking its Bauchi State governorship candidate, Senator Shehu Buba, to banditry and kidnapping. In a statement by National Publicity Secretary Comrade Muhammed Ishaq, the party described the allegations as lies and mischief aimed at damaging Buba's reputation. The PRP said it initially refrained from responding but is now convinced there is a deliberate campaign to tarnish the senator's image due to his popularity and prospects of winning the 2027 Bauchi governorship election. The party challenged anyone with evidence of criminal activities involving the candidate to come forward.
