The Ogun State Police Command arrested a 28-year-old suspected vehicle theft kingpin, Mosuru Issa, during a routine stop-and-search operation along the Mowe axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Issa, who resides on Osungboye Street in Agege, Lagos State, was apprehended at about 7:30 a.m. on Friday after the occupants of a wine-coloured Toyota Camry abandoned the vehicle and fled upon sighting the operatives. The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said in a statement on Saturday that the conduct of the occupants aroused the suspicion of the officers, who immediately gave chase. The police recovered the stolen vehicle.
