Corporal George Fitzpatrick Kaitell of the Sierra Leone Formed Police Unit heads training at the African Union Support and Stabilisation Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) Sector 2 in Kismayo. An armourer by trade with 21 years of experience in the Sierra Leone Police Force, he has dedicated his career to public service, professional policing and capacity building. The training he oversees includes instruction in public order management and weapons handling, which are described as critical components of modern policing and civilian protection. Cpl Kaitell said cooperation has helped strengthen the relationship between AUSSOM personnel and their Somali counterparts.
