Gombe: Former Commissioner Quits APC, Pledges Support For Pantami

A former commissioner in Gombe State and ex-chairman of Akko Local Government Council, Hon. Muhammad Ismail City, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared support for former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, ahead of the 2027 governorship election. City announced his decision during a meeting with Pantami. The defection comes amid growing political realignments in Gombe State as politicians intensify consultations for the 2027 elections. City cited his experience in electoral administration and grassroots governance as equipping him for the move.
