The Nigerian Communications Commission has launched the Zero-Rated Data Access to Educational Platforms and Content initiative. The programme aims to expand access to learning resources, bridge educational inequalities, and support economic growth through human capital investment. Under the Operator-Sponsored Model, eligible users will receive up to 100 megabytes of free daily data to access designated educational platforms, amounting to about 700MB weekly, 3GB monthly, and up to 36.5GB annually. The initiative was launched on Thursday as part of a coordinated national approach to improving affordable and equitable access to digital education.
