Bamanga Tukur’s last wish for PDP was keep flag flying – Turaki camp

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Interim National Working Committee, led by Kabiru Turaki, SAN, has mourned the passing of former National Chairman Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who died at 90. The committee recalled that Tukur's final message to the party was a call to keep its flag flying and preserve its place as Nigeria's truly national political platform. In a statement by National Publicity Secretary Comrade Ini Ememobong, the PDP said Tukur had reaffirmed his faith in the party during his last interaction with its leadership. Tukur's death was described as the loss of a statesman whose political and professional career spanned decades.
