The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the final list of 18 presidential candidates and their running mates for the 2027 election. The list was released on Saturday in Abuja and was signed by the Secretary to the Commission, Rose Oriaran-Anthony. The candidates are sponsored by 18 political parties. The gender distribution shows that out of the 18 presidential flag bearers, 16 are male (88.9 per cent) and two are female.
