‘Tired’ Liverpool must adapt to schedule, says Iraola

Andoni Iraola said Liverpool suffered from fatigue in their 0-0 draw at home to Fulham on Saturday, but insisted his players must adapt to a gruelling schedule. The match came less than three days after Liverpool beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 in their Champions League opener. Iraola described the turnaround as the worst in terms of 60-something hours between games, following a very big match. He noted that such situations will happen more often during the season and that his team must adapt, adding that they needed to win such games through set plays, shots from the edge of the box, or moments of brilliance from offensive players.
