The Ondo State government has ordered an immediate ban on the sale and distribution of unverified alcoholic drinks and other substances, whether in sachets or bottles. This follows the death of about 30 people in the Odigbo area of the state linked to the consumption of alcohol. The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Honourable Idowu Ajanaku, announced the ban. The government aims to prevent further casualties.
