Houthi fighters in Yemen announced they launched drone and missile attacks on a military base in southern Saudi Arabia. The attack targeted weapons depots and command and control centres at the Sharurah base, according to Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree. The date of the operation was not specified. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia issued emergency alerts after explosions were heard off the coast of Iran's Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, with alerts for Khamis Mushait Governorate and Abha city in Asir province.
