American sprinter Bednarek won the men's 100m title in Budapest with a season-best time of 9.85 seconds. He defeated reigning world champion Oblique Seville of Jamaica, who finished second in 9.90 seconds. American Ronnie Baker took third place in 9.93 seconds, narrowly beating Nigeria's Kayinsola Ajayi, who also ran 9.93 seconds.
