Dr Adesola Adeduntan has been installed as the Balogun of Oyo by the Alaafin, Oba Abimbola Owoade I, at a ceremony in the Alaafin's Palace. The title, historically held by military commanders, now goes to Adeduntan, a former Group CEO of FirstBank. During his tenure, FirstBank's non-performing loan ratio dropped from over 24% to single digits, and its customer base grew from about 10 million to over 42 million. He also served as pioneer CFO of the Africa Finance Corporation.
