President Bola Tinubu, former President Goodluck Jonathan, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and other prominent Nigerians have mourned the passing of elder statesman Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who died at the age of 90. Tukur was a renowned businessman, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and former Governor of the old Gongola State. Among those who expressed sadness were the Chairman of the Northern Nigeria Governors' Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya; Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri; and former Senate President David Mark. Tukur is to be buried after funeral prayers.
