The spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has criticized the vice presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, over his promise to take care of Atiku Abubakar if the former vice-president withdraws from the 2027 presidential race. Kwankwaso, running mate to NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi, had appealed to Atiku to abandon his presidential ambition and support the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket, citing Atiku's age and health. In a post on X, Morka questioned the opposition's confidence in negotiating over the presidency before Nigerians have decided who will occupy the office in 2027.
