Nigeria's High Commissioner-Designate to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode, has warned that the Nigerian government will take action against the incessant killing of Nigerians in South Africa. This follows the recent killing of two Nigerian citizens in South Africa by unknown assailants and police amid reported cases of xenophobic attacks. In a statement, Fani-Kayode expressed shock over the murder of Bishop Michael Taiwo Fakunle by unknown elements in Johannesburg on September 4th, noting that after issuing threats, his killers shot him dead at his home. He also expressed shock over the murder of Mr. James Uchechukwu Nwankwo by South African Police Service officers in Johannesburg on September 5th.
