Nigerian High Commissioner Designate to South Africa, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has condemned the killing of two Nigerians, Bishop Michael Taiwo Fakunle and Mr. James Uchechukwu Nwankwo, in Johannesburg. He called on the South African government to protect Nigerians and bring the perpetrators to justice. Fani-Kayode noted that the deaths bring the number of Nigerians killed in South Africa in 2026 to eight, with over 100 killed since 2022, including more than 30 allegedly by South African security forces.
