A disengaged assistant chief security officer with Abia State University, Uturu, Ifeanyichukwu Orji, has appealed to Governor Alex Otti to intervene in his ordeal. Orji said he was relieved of his job following a judicial panel of inquiry recommendation and a government White Paper in 2011. He petitioned the decision through a visitation panel that reviewed his case and recommended his reinstatement, which the government accepted. Orji expressed surprise that the university has hesitated to implement the reinstatement recommendation over the years.
