The Oyo State government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving education through strategic policies and programmes as schools resume for the first term of the 2026/2027 academic session. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology Olusegun Olayiwola made the pledge on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde in a welcome-back message to students. Olayiwola described the new session as an opportunity for students to renew their commitment to learning and urged them to remain focused, disciplined, and law-abiding. He also charged teachers to uphold professionalism, be punctual, adequately prepared, and consistent in lesson delivery.
