The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has selected Prof. Jehu Nnaji as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections in Enugu State. Nnaji, from Amurri in Nkanu West Council Area, emerged as the sole candidate during a direct primary election at the party's state secretariat in Abakpa Nike, Enugu. The party chairman, Chief Chuba Mgbagbu, described the process as peaceful and transparent, and said the party will submit Nnaji's name to INEC within the stipulated window.
