Attention shoppers: digital ad screens are about to be everywhere you look

Retailers have been gradually introducing digital display advertisements in their stores over the past year, and the pace is now accelerating as the concept gains wider acceptance. Walmart, Walgreens, Amazon, and grocery chains are selling brands access to screens placed in aisles, endcaps, and checkouts, where customers make their final purchasing decisions. According to Walmart's head of advertising, Ryan Maywa, the company sees a meaningful opportunity to have more engaging screens throughout the store. A survey conducted this year found that shoppers' acceptance of ad screens depends on the in-store context.
