Three herders who were killed around the Aloghom area of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State have been buried in Mangu Town on Sunday morning. The deceased were identified as Garzali Shaibu, 18; Bashiru Yakubu, 14; and Salim Abubakar, 15, and were killed on Saturday, with about 50 cattle also reportedly shot dead. The funeral prayer was conducted at the Mangu Central Mosque and led by Imam Jibrin Ahmad Dalhat, Chief Imam of the mosque, after which the corpses were moved to the Mangu Cemetery for burial. Speaking during the burial, Muhammad Salihu, Secretary of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Mangu, called on residents and members of herding communities to remain calm.
