The Niger Delta Patriotic Front (NDPF) has issued conditions to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections. The group demands the fast-tracking of construction of the East-West Road, Lagos-Benin-Asaba Highway, Koko-Ogheye-Lekki Road, and Benin-Sapele-Warri Road. NDPF accused Minister of Works Dave Umahi of being sectional and anti-Niger Delta, citing the exclusion of the Koko-Ogheye-Lekki Road from the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project. The group warned that without these projects, the All Progressives Congress should not expect votes from Niger Deltans in 2027.
