The Interim National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, led by Dr Tanimu Turaki, has called on the Federal Government to explain how its rising borrowings have benefited Nigerians. The party noted that Nigeria's debt now totals N159 trillion according to the Debt Management Office. It questioned why the borrowings have not led to significant reductions in insecurity, unemployment, and infrastructure deficit.
