NFF Crisis: Players Union Demands Equal Representation At FIFA Meeting

The Advocacy for Nigeria Football Reform Initiative has demanded equal representation for the Players Union bloc and State Football Association chairmen at an upcoming FIFA meeting in Abuja. Prince Harrison Jalla, chairman of the group, stated that the Players Union bloc would attend the 14 September 2026 meeting with a six-member delegation, despite the NFF allocating only three slots. Jalla called the allocation an anomaly that must be corrected to avoid undermining reform efforts. He argued that the Players Union should not be outnumbered by State Football Association chairmen in discussions on restructuring Nigerian football.
