Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, presidential candidate of the Accord Party, has declared that no administrative action by INEC can extinguish his candidacy for the 2027 presidential election. He was reacting to his exclusion from INEC's final list of presidential candidates published over the weekend. In a statement in Abuja, Hashim described the development as subject to judicial determination, insisting he remains the duly nominated candidate. He said Nigeria's constitutional democracy does not confer on INEC overriding power of finality over candidate disputes.
