Nigeria’s Crude, Condensate Output Hits 1.68mmbpd in August

Nigeria’s crude oil and condensate production rose to 1,677,770 barrels per day in August 2026, up by 0.4 per cent from July’s 1,670,890 barrels per day, according to figures released by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). Excluding condensate, the country produced 1,500,190 barrels per day, meeting its OPEC quota of 1.5 million barrels per day for the fourth consecutive month. Data from the Commission showed that daily crude oil and condensate production ranged between a low of 1.64 million barrels per day and a high of 1.71 million barrels per day during the month under review. A six-month trend released alongside the August figures showed production rising from 1,564,100 barrels per day in March to a peak of 1,735,398 barrels per day in June, before dipping to 1,670,890 barrels per day in July and recovering slightly in August.
