Osun: Adeleke’s aide ‘Emir’ killed amid park leadership tussle

Dauda Oyeyemi, an aide and associate of Governor Ademola Adeleke popularly known as 'Emir', was reportedly shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Sunday in Osogbo, Osun State. The killing occurred during a meeting at Mayfair Motor Park, where Oyeyemi and members of his group had gathered as part of efforts to resolve a dispute over the leadership of the motor park. The park is currently headed by Mr Wakili Nurudeen, also known as Alowonle, and the leadership tussle had reportedly created tension between the two groups. Masked gunmen stormed the venue during the meeting and shot Oyeyemi in the head, causing panic that forced members of both groups to flee.
