ASUU fresh strike threat has exposed fraud in subsidy removal – Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the Academic Staff Union of Universities' fresh strike threat has exposed fraud in the Federal Government's justification for removing fuel subsidy. In a statement issued on Sunday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku noted that the government had claimed subsidy savings would be used for education, healthcare, and infrastructure. He questioned why university lecturers were still raising concerns over unpaid entitlements and unresolved agreements while public universities face funding challenges. Atiku asked President Tinubu to explain where the subsidy money is, given the hardship Nigerians have endured.
