The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) reported that at least 50 of its members were killed in banditry attacks and clashes in Kaduna State between January and August 2026. The association also stated that over 200,000 cattle were lost during the period. MACBAN disclosed these figures as part of its assessment of the security situation affecting herders in the state.
