The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Kaduna State has reported that over 200,000 cattle were lost to banditry, communal clashes, and cattle rustling in eight months in 2026. The association also alleged that 50 of its members were killed during the period. The claims were made during a news conference in Kaduna by the state director of media, Ibrahim Bayero-Zango, on behalf of the state chairman, Alhaji Abdulhamid Albarka.
