Average Nigerian can live on N3,000 daily — Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, Nigeria's Ambassador-designate to Mexico, said on Sunday Politics that the average Nigerian can survive on N3,000 daily. He argued that poverty benchmarks should be considered within each country's economic context. Omokri said he visited markets with a journalist to price essential food items and concluded that N3,000 a day is sufficient in Nigeria, though the same amount would be poverty in the United States.
