Nigeria’s crude oil output rises 0.4% in August — NUPRC

Nigeria's crude oil and condensate production rose marginally by 0.4 per cent in August 2026 to 1.68 million barrels per day (bpd), up from 1.67 million bpd in July, according to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). The increase came as the country sustained production at its OPEC quota for the fourth consecutive month. Combined output stood at 1,677,777 bpd in August, compared with 1,670,890 bpd in July, but was below the 1,735,398 bpd recorded in June. Production has fluctuated between March and August, with a peak in June before declining in July and recovering slightly in August.
