Suspected armed bandits attacked an Operation Burst base in a forest reserve along the Igbeti–Igboho axis in Oorelope Local Government Area, Oyo State, on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The attackers, armed with powerful weapons, opened fire and attempted to overrun the post, but fled before security reinforcements arrived. No casualties were reported. Security operatives have launched a search for the perpetrators.
