Professional Game Referees (Pro Ref) admitted that the decision to allow Erling Haaland's winner in Manchester City's 1-0 victory over Manchester United was an 'error of judgment'. Haaland scored on the hour mark after City were reduced to 10 men following Phil Foden's dismissal. The goal was initially disallowed for offside but was overturned by VAR, despite City midfielder Enzo Fernandez being in an offside position. Pro Ref later acknowledged the error.
