A joint delegation from FIFA and the Confederation of African Football will arrive in Nigeria today to assess the leadership crisis in the Nigeria Football Federation. The two-day mission, scheduled for September 14 and 15 in Abuja, follows the resignation of NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi, and members of the Executive Committee. FIFA stated that the delegation will conduct a joint assessment mission to establish the facts and examine the legal, governance, administrative, and electoral implications of the leadership changes. The world football governing body stressed that no conclusions have been reached and no determination made regarding potential next steps.
